Samira Musah, Ph.D. (Duke University) gives an invited research talk at Brown University's inaugural Dr. Samuel M. Nabrit Conference for Early Career Scholars. The purpose of this conference is to showcase the research achievements of outstanding molecular life scientists from historically underrepresented groups. This conference was named in honor of Samuel Milton Nabrit, Brown University's first African-American Ph.D. recipient and a marine biologist with a distinguished international career. Additional presenters at the meeting included Karine Gibbs, Ph.D. (Harvard University) and Enrique De La Cruz, Ph.D. (Yale University).
