Naya Lewis, who joined our research team last year as an Amgen Summer Research Scholar at Duke University, has accepted an offer to pursue her Ph.D. at Vanderbilt University! During her time with us, Naya contributed to two exciting research projects focused on (1) uncovering the molecular mechanisms of podocytopathies and (2) discovering new therapeutic candidates for these complex diseases. Naya's intellect and enthusiasm for scientific inquiry were apparent and commendable.
Naya's journey from being an undergraduate research scholar to now embarking on a Ph.D. is a testament to her hard work, passion for science, and talent. We are super proud of her and know she will continue to excel. Naya is indeed a solid candidate for this exciting Ph.D. journey ahead.
