Anavi Kaul Receives Duke SMIF Undergraduate User Program Award

March 19, 2026

Congratulations to our lab's undergraduate researcher, Anavi Kaul, on being selected for the Duke University SMIF Undergraduate User Program (SUUP) award. This research award program provides hands-on research experience by granting students direct access to the advanced cleanroom, materials characterization, and imaging capabilities at the Shared Materials Instrumentation Facility (SMIF). The award includes up to $2000 in user fees through the end of the fiscal year, enabling our student to utilize world-class facilities to advance their research project. By supporting students across the Pratt School of Engineering, Arts & Sciences, and the School of Medicine, the SUUP award fosters interdisciplinary innovation and provides invaluable technical training for the next generation of scientific leaders.
